  • How often do I need to do a refresher course?

  • Do I need a doctor’s approval to dive?

    If the medical questionnaire you complete as a student with NovoScuba does not raise any concerns or highlight any areas needing further exploration, you do not require a doctor's approval to dive. You can proceed with your diving activities without the need for a doctor's certificate in this case. However, if the questionnaire does identify any potential issues, it is necessary for you to see a doctor and obtain approval before engaging in diving activities to ensure your safety and well-being.

  • What are the signs of DCS?

    The signs of Decompression Sickness (DCS) can vary in severity and typically appear within hours of surfacing.   • Is a NovoScuba instructor internationally recognised?

  • Må jeg ta Dive Adventurer før jeg kan ta Dive Explorer?

    Nei, du trenger ikke å fullføre Dive Adventurer-kurset før du tar Dive Explorer-kurset. Dive Explorer-kurset kan tas umiddelbart etter at du har fullført Independent Diver-kurset. Disse kursene er utformet for å bygge på hverandre, men de er ikke avhengige av at du har fullført tidligere kurs i serien før du går videre til neste nivå.

  • Hva er forskjellen mellom en guidet dykker og en uavhengig dykker?

    Hovedforskjellen mellom en Guided Diver og en Independent Diver ligger i dybdegrensene og kravene til dykkerkompis. Som Guided Diver er du sertifisert til å dykke ned til 12 meters dybde, men du må være i følge med en profesjonell dykker fra NovoScuba, for eksempel en Divemaster eller høyere. Som Independent Diver kan du derimot dykke ned til 18 meters dybde sammen med en hvilken som helst annen sertifisert dykker.  

Helse for dykking

  • Hvorfor føler jeg meg trøtt etter dykking?

    Det er helt normalt å føle seg sliten etter dykking. Kombinasjonen av fysisk anstrengelse, mentalt fokus, miljøfaktorer og fysiologiske endringer kan alle bidra til tretthet etter dykking.

  • Jeg har øreproblemer. Kan jeg dykke?

    Hvis du har problemer med øret, for eksempel smerter under aktiviteter som flyging eller svømming, er det viktig at du rådfører deg med en lege før du vurderer dykking. Ubehag i ørene under dykking kan skyldes problemer med å utjevne trykket under vann, noe som kan forverre allerede eksisterende øreproblemer. Instruktøren din kan gi deg veiledning i riktig trykkutjevningsteknikk, men det er viktig å ta tak i eventuelle underliggende øreproblemer først for å sikre en trygg og behagelig dykkeopplevelse.

  • Kan kvinner dykke mens de har menstruasjon?

    Ja, kvinner kan trygt dykke mens de menstruerer eller har mensen. Menstruasjon utgjør ingen risiko for dykking, og det er mulig å delta i denne aktiviteten hvis man tenker seg nøye om og forbereder seg. Det kan være nyttig å bruke passende feminine hygieneprodukter og kommunisere med dykkerinstruktøren om eventuelle bekymringer eller tilpasninger som trengs i denne perioden. Det anbefales å følge hygienepraksis for å sikre komfort og forhindre potensielle plager under dykket.

  • Kan jeg fly før/etter dykking?

    Det anbefales generelt å vente med å fly etter dykking for å minimere risikoen for trykkfallsyke. Den anbefalte ventetiden varierer avhengig av dykkets varighet og dybde. NovoScuba anbefaler at du venter minst 24 timer før du flyr etter dykking for å ivareta din egen sikkerhet og velvære.   • Hva er tegnene på TFS?

    Tegnene på trykkfallsyke kan variere i alvorlighetsgrad og oppstår vanligvis i løpet av få timer etter at man har kommet opp til overflaten. Vanlige symptomer er ledd- og muskelsmerter, svimmelhet, tretthet, pustevansker, kvalme eller oppkast, hudutslett eller kløe, nummenhet eller prikking, svakhet eller lammelser, forvirring eller kognitiv svikt. Hvis du er bekymret for om du opplever noen av disse symptomene etter dykking, er det viktig å oppsøke lege umiddelbart.

  • Trenger jeg en leges godkjenning for å dykke?

    Hvis det medisinske spørreskjemaet du fyller ut som student hos NovoScuba ikke gir noen grunn til bekymring eller fremhever noen områder som må undersøkes nærmere, trenger du ikke godkjenning fra lege for å dykke. Du kan fortsette med dykkeaktivitetene dine uten at du trenger en legeerklæring i dette tilfellet. Hvis spørreskjemaet derimot avdekker potensielle problemer, er det nødvendig at du oppsøker lege og får godkjenning før du begynner å dykke for å ivareta din sikkerhet og velvære.

  • Er det greit å drikke alkohol etter dykking?
  • Hjelper dykking deg med å gå ned i vekt?
  • Er dykking en god treningsform?

    Dykking er en skånsom treningsform som kan forbedre hjerte- og karsystemet, utholdenhet, styrke og muskeltonus. Det er en fin måte å redusere stress og forbrenne kalorier på.

  • Er det vanskelig å puste under dykking?

    Det er ikke vanskelig å puste under dykking. Det kan ta litt tid å venne seg til å puste under vann, men det blir fort en selvfølge.

  • Hva er de vanligste skadene folk får når de dykker?

    De vanligste skadene folk opplever når de dykker, er skrammer og stikk fra livet i havet. Disse kan vanligvis unngås ved å bruke beskyttelsesdrakter, være forsiktig med hvor du plasserer hender og føtter, og holde deg unna bunnen under dykket. I tillegg kan solbrenthet og sjøsyke også være et problem for dykkere, men disse kan ofte forebygges eller håndteres med reseptfrie forebyggende midler.

  • Jeg har astma, kan jeg dykke?

  • Jeg er diabetiker, kan jeg dykke?

    Hvis du har diabetes og vurderer å dykke, er det viktig at du søker råd hos en kvalifisert lege som har erfaring med dykkermedisin. Diabetes er en tilstand som kan påvirke ulike kroppsfunksjoner, som hjertefunksjon og nervesystemets funksjon, og kan ha innvirkning på din evne til å dykke på en trygg måte.   • Jeg får klaustrofobi. Vil dykking være et problem for meg?
